Getting good psychological support shouldn't depend on where you live. Whether you're in Brisbane, Bundaberg, or somewhere in between — or anywhere else in Australia — telehealth means you can access the same quality of care without the commute, the waiting room, or the need to rearrange your whole day.
Telehealth psychology — wherever you are in Australia.
I offer telehealth appointments via a secure video platform, available to new and existing clients across Australia
Is telehealth right for you?
Telehealth works well for most people, and many clients actually prefer it to in-person appointments once they've tried it. It might be a good fit if you:
Live in a regional, rural, or remote area where local psychology services are limited or have long wait times
Have a busy schedule and find it hard to carve out travel time around work, study, or family
Experience anxiety, sensory sensitivities, or other barriers that make attending a clinic difficult
Simply prefer the comfort and familiarity of your own space
Are based interstate or anywhere in Australia and want consistent, ongoing support
If you're not sure whether it's right for you, we can talk through it before you commit to anything.
How it works — step by step.
Step 1 — Book online
Choose a time that suits you through the online booking system. You'll receive a confirmation email with everything you need.
Step 2 — Get your link
Before your appointment you'll receive a secure Zoom link through Zanda, the booking platform I use. No account to create, nothing to download — though if you'd like to install the Zoom app beforehand for the smoothest experience, that works too.
Step 3 — Find your spot
Find somewhere private and comfortable — your couch, your car, wherever works for you. All you need is a device with a camera and microphone and a decent internet connection.
Step 4 — Join and we'll get
started
Click the link at your appointment time. That's it.
Medicare rebates apply to telehealth.
Telehealth sessions with a registered psychologist are eligible for Medicare rebates under the Better Access to Mental Health Care scheme — exactly the same as in-person appointments.
To access a rebate you'll need a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from your GP, which entitles you to up to 10 rebated sessions per calendar year. If you don't have one yet, your GP can arrange this at a standard appointment — just let them know you'd like a referral to a psychologist.
Once you have your plan, bring the details to your first session and I'll take care of the rest.
Common Questions about Telehealth
-
Yes. Research consistently shows telehealth delivers the same outcomes as face-to-face therapy for most presentations — including anxiety, depression, burnout, and neurodivergence-related support. Many clients find it more effective simply because they're more relaxed at home.
